Job Summary
Provide and coordinate patient care for malignant hematology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Participate in or develop clinical research studies, teach fellows and residents, and contribute to program development. Collaborate with attending hematologists, fellows, and support staff including case management, pharmacy, unit-based APPs, social work, and patient navigation. Join teaching rounds and engage in academic and quality improvement research. Work a 7 on/7 off schedule within the Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center in New Orleans.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Hematology Hospitalist
- completed 2 year hematology fellowship or 3 year hematology oncology fellowship
- board certified or board eligible in hematology and oncology
- Malignant Hematology only
