Job Summary
Manage multidisciplinary care for patients with gastrointestinal cancers, delivering state-of-the-art treatment within the University of Arizona Cancer Center. Lead clinical trials by writing and developing protocols, while educating students, house staff, and the next generation of oncologists. Contribute to clinical and clinical-translational research as part of a collaborative faculty team of 18 physicians and 15 APPs. This faculty appointment aligns with credentials at the NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, which focuses on prevention, cure, and expanded research activities through the merger of Banner Health and the University of Arizona Health Network.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology
- Experience caring for patients with gastrointestinal cancers within a multidisciplinary oncology setting
Desired Qualifications
- Exceptional clinical acumen
- Knowledge around the multidisciplinary management of GI cancers
- Experience in writing and developing clinical trial protocols and leading clinical trials
- A commitment to educating the next generation of oncologists
