Job Summary
Provide patient-centered medical care in Harrisburg, PA. Take patient histories, update charts and patient information to reflect current findings and treatments, order tests for nurses or other healthcare staff, review test results for abnormal findings, and design treatment plans. Address patient questions and concerns about health and well-being, discuss topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene, and collaborate in a team-based care setting. Maintain professional demeanor, adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment, demonstrate cultural competence (including LGBTQIA sensitivity), and uphold HIPAA privacy requirements while delivering high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid board certification in medicine
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an approved residency
- Current DEA registration
- Active and unrestricted license to practice in Pennsylvania
- Successful passing of Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
- Knowledge and comfort working with patients with drug and alcohol use disorders
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word, and how to use Electronic Medical Records
- Ability to be compassionate while dealing with patients
- Ability to work collaboratively in team-based care
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle changing structures
- Maintain HIPAA privacy compliance
