Job Summary
Provide expert geriatric assessment and management recommendations for patients under Medicine, Trauma & Orthopedics, ICU, and Sub-specialty Services teams. Manage multi-morbidity, polypharmacy, fragility fractures, delirium prevention, and end-of-life transitions. Mentor residents, fellows, and medical students while leading scholarly activity and quality improvement protocols to reduce hospital-acquired complications. Explore a potential 0.25 FTE leadership role as Associate Program Director for Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and Scholarly Activity within the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification: Dual or single Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine or Palliative Medicine
- A minimum of five (5) years of post-fellowship experience within an Academic Medical Center
- Proven commitment to scholarly output, including peer-reviewed publications or significant contributions to medical education
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and lead within a team-of-teams environment
