Job Summary
Geriatrician physician for VA Boston Healthcare System sought as a full-time attending physician at the Community Living Center (CLC) in Brockton, MA. Role blends direct patient care with supervising geriatrics fellows, house staff, and trainees. Weekday duty hours with some weekend phone coverage; no overnight in-hospital duty. Diverse teaching venues and strong emphasis on quality improvement, with protected time for scholarship and career development/mentorship. Requires internal medicine background, board certification/eligibility, and eligibility for licensure in the United States; experience in geriatrics, hospital medicine, or post-acute care is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- English proficiency in written and spoken language
- Medical Doctor degree (MD) or equivalent from a school approved by the VA
- Current, full and unrestricted medical license in a US state/territory/DC
- Residency training completed in an accredited core specialty program leading to board eligibility (ACGME or AOA) or approved non-US residency with 5+ years of practice in the US
- Board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics (preferred)
- US residency/accreditation requirements per VA
