Job Summary
Attend physician at the VA Community Living Center in Brockton, MA, focusing on geriatrics within the VA Boston Healthcare System. Responsibilities include direct patient care and supervising geriatrics fellows, housestaff, and trainees. Duty hours are weekdays with some weekend phone coverage and no overnight in-hospital duties. The role offers diverse teaching venues and protected time for scholarship and career development/mentorship. Preferred but not required: additional training in geriatrics, hospital medicine, or transitional/post-acute care. Requires U.S. citizenship, proficient English, MD from an approved school, and current unrestricted medical license. Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from a school approved by VA
- Current, full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory or DC
- Residency training in an accredited core specialty program leading to board eligibility (ACGME/AOA or recognized equivalents)
- Board certification in internal medicine and geriatrics (preferred)
