Job Summary
Geriatrician physician sought as a full-time hospitalist for the VA Boston Healthcare System. The role includes serving as attending physician at the Community Living Center (CLC), the VA's skilled nursing facility in Brockton, MA, with duties blending direct patient care and supervision of geriatrics fellows, house staff, and other trainees. Duty hours in the CLC are weekdays with some weekend phone-only coverage and no overnight in-hospital duty. The position offers diverse teaching opportunities, time dedicated for scholarship, and career development mentorship. Preferred candidates have training in geriatrics, hospital medicine or post-acute care.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine
- Additional training in geriatrics, hospital medicine or transitional (post-acute) care preferred but not required
- U.S. Citizenship
- Current, full and unrestricted medical license in US
- Residency training approved by VA or equivalent
- Board certification in internal medicine and geriatrics preferred
