Job Summary
Physician needed for Geriatrics program in Grand Rapids, MI. Open to new grads with geriatrics fellowship training or experienced Internal Medicine/Family Medicine candidates. Responsibilities include direct patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, teaching and mentoring residents, medical students, and fellows, Epic EMR documentation, quality improvement initiatives, and engagement in community health efforts. Typical duties span home-based, facility-based, and outpatient clinic settings, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule, 1.0 FTE, and home call. Requires board certification or eligibility, Michigan medical license, DEA license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board-certified in geriatrics or board-eligible and will become board-certified within five years
- Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license
- BLS certification (must be maintained)
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and experience with quality improvement initiatives
- Fellowship training in geriatrics or internal medicine/family medicine with geriatrics interest (open to new grads)
- Teaching and mentoring responsibilities for residents, medical students, and fellows
