Job Summary
Conduct pre- and post-transplant care for patients with end-stage liver disease while managing a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice. Perform essential functions including upper endoscopy procedures and colonoscopy, and evaluate patients with chronic liver conditions. Participate in the selection committee, quality assurance initiatives, and research in clinical trials. Mentor Internal Medicine/GI residents, fellows, and medical students within an academic setting. Join a team of six Hepatologists and ten Gastroenterologists at a 733-bed Level 1 Trauma Center in Phoenix. Work Mon-Fri with unrestricted call rotation, supported by cutting-edge elastography technology.
Required Qualifications
- ABIM BC/BE Transplant Hepatology
- Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology
Desired Qualifications
- training and experience in managing all aspects of liver disease
- training and experience in managing a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice
- involvement with GI/Hepatology clinical research including presentations at national meetings
- involvement with education and research in this growing program
