Job Summary
Lead the Inflammatory Bowel Disease program by providing strategic oversight for clinical operations, research initiatives, and educational programs. Develop a multidisciplinary, patient-centered care model and grow a robust clinical research program supported by institutional infrastructure. Mentor junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in clinical practice, academic development, and research while maintaining active clinical practice in IBD. Collaborate with colleagues across specialties including surgery, pathology, and radiology to ensure integrated care, and work with the Division Chief to identify strategic planning priorities. This opportunity serves an accomplished physician-scientist or clinical leader to shape the future of IBD care within a culture of collegiality and robust infrastructure supporting translational research.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for licensure in AZ
- Established track record of excellence in IBD clinical care and academic scholarship
- Strong record of clinical research and/or translational research in IBD
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a commitment to mentorship and team development
- Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level

- Experience leading clinical trials or translational research programs
- Record of securing external research funding
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic medicine
