Job Summary
Academic IBD Specialist and division leader responsible for strategic leadership of the IBD program, including clinical operations, research initiatives, and educational programs. Develop and expand a multidisciplinary, patient-centered IBD care model; lead and grow a robust clinical research program with institutional support; mentor junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in clinical practice, academic development, and research. Collaborate with colleagues across specialties (surgery, pathology, radiology) to ensure integrated care while maintaining an active clinical IBD practice. Collaborate with the Division Chief to identify strategic planning needs. Requires MD or DO with board certification in Gastroenterology and AZ licensure eligibility; appointment at Assistant/Associate Professor level. Preferred qualifications include experience leading clinical trials or translational research programs and a track record of external funding, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic medicine. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for licensure in AZ
- Established track record of excellence in IBD clinical care and academic scholarship
- Strong record of clinical research and/or translational research in IBD
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a commitment to mentorship and team development
- Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level
