Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive family medicine care for neonates through geriatric patients, including well visits, acute care, and chronic disease management. Perform patient examinations, order and perform diagnostic tests, and diagnose medical conditions while prescribing or administering treatment. Maintain accurate medical records, use effective clinical judgment for referrals, and plan treatment protocols. Support clinic staff meetings, adhere to guidelines, and maintain positive relationships with physicians, staff, and health care students. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p. m. with light call rotation for outpatient and rural patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school, with Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy
- Completion of a certified residency program
- Board certified in specialty or eligible
- Primary care physician
- Primary care management experience
- State agreements for payment of health services under Medicare and Medicaid
- DEA permission to prescribe and maintain controlled substances
- Hospital privileges at local facilities
- Malpractice insurability
- Board certification or eligibility required in specialty area
- Iowa medical license
- Must complete all requirements necessary for the practice of medicine in Iowa
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to drive
- Must be available for occasional travel
- Must be available for occasional driving
- Must be available for irregular hours
- Must be available for early morning or late evening hours
- Must be available for long days
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40.0 hours each week
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday

Desired Qualifications
- Primary care management experience preferred
- Experience with adult and pediatric population preferred
- Preferred: Primary care physician
