Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Graduate of an accredited medical school, with Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy
• •Completion of a certified residency program
• •Board certified in specialty or eligible
• •Primary care physician
• •Primary care management experience
• •State agreements for payment of health services under Medicare and Medicaid
• •DEA permission to prescribe and maintain controlled substances
• •Hospital privileges at local facilities
• •Malpractice insurability
• •Board certification or eligibility required in specialty area
• •Iowa medical license
• •Must complete all requirements necessary for the practice of medicine in Iowa
• •Must be able to lift 10 lbs
• •Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• •Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs
• •Must be able to drive
• •Must be available for occasional travel
• •Must be available for occasional driving
• •Must be available for irregular hours
• •Must be available for early morning or late evening hours
• •Must be available for long days
• •Must be able to work a minimum of 40.0 hours each week
• •Must be able to work Monday to Friday
• •Must be able to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• •Must be able to work occasional weekends

• •Must be able to work rural patients
• •Must be able to work neonate to geriatric patients

• •Must be able to work with puncture/penetration hazard
• •Must be able to work with particulates and blood/body fluid hazard
• •Must be able to wear PPE
• •Must be able to sit continuously
• •Must be able to stand occasionally
• •Must be able to twist and reach
• •Must be able to bend/stoop
• •Must be able to kneel
• •Must be able to reach above shoulder level
• •Must be able to drive with loading and unloading items
• •Must be able to work with odors

• •Must have working knowledge of MS Office Products (ex. Excel, Word, Access, Power Point)
• •Must be comfortable moving within an EMR computer system regularly
• •Must be able to work within a team setting
• •Must be able to relate to the special needs of the patient population
• •Must have planning and organizing skills
• •Must have adaptability and flexibility

Desired Qualifications

• •Primary care management experience preferred
• •Experience with adult and pediatric population preferred
