Job Summary
Serve as the primary care physician for adolescent and adult patients within a federal healthcare setting. Responsibilities include ordering radiology and lab tests, diagnosing and prescribing treatment, teaching and consulting with other providers, and maintaining required medical records. The role includes oversight as medical director of a troop medical clinic, immunizations team, and soldier processing center, with eligible recruitment or relocation incentives. Must have completed an accredited Family Medicine residency (4 years) and hold an active physician license in the US. Direct-hire position based in Savannah, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent from US/Canadian or recognized international program
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted medical license/registration in US jurisdiction
- Residency training in Family Medicine completed (at least 4 years) or equivalent
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Family Medicine
- Evidence of successful completion of accredited residency program
- Ability to provide direct clinical care to adolescent and adult patients; supervise and provide consultation as needed
- Eligibility to practice within federal civilian healthcare system per applicable licensure requirements
