Job Summary
Direct and provide outpatient care to clinic patients, ensuring quality assurance through physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication prescriptions. Supervise patient care professionals and technicians while participating in quality assurance, improvement, and utilization review programs. Develop clinic protocols and procedures, conduct peer reviews, and provide telephone consultation services to practitioners. Deliver in-service training to staff and actively participate in internal and external meetings to expand patient services. Enhance professional growth through educational programs, literature reviews, and workshops.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medical License in state of California
- board eligible or certified
- Master's Degree in the medical field
- Current CPR certification
- DEA license
- Knowledge of community health centers
- Knowledge of public assistance programs
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Knowledge of managed care systems
- Experience/familiarity with computers
- Experience/familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Experience/familiarity with business e-mail communication systems
- Experience/familiarity with internet search capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience/familiarity with Practice Management systems
- Experience/familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems
