Job Summary
Examine patients, formulate differential diagnostic plans, and order diagnostic testing for preventative, chronic disease, and acute care. Prescribe medications, administer vaccinations, and interpret test results to implement treatment plans or refer to specialists. Complete medical records, manage electronic orders, and provide cross coverage as needed. Actively participate in multidisciplinary case management and quality improvement tools. Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and organizational protocols. This role involves a 17-provider primary care practice with an average of 16-20 patients daily and 34 contact hours weekly. Call frequency is 5-6 times monthly. The position is 0.8 to 1.0 FTE with a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency training program
- BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA
- Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualification for Credentialing and Privileges
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, or dual Board Certification in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
- Minnesota license to practice as an MD or DO
