Job Summary
Provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients using evidence-based guidelines. Conduct physical examinations, assessments, and prescribe medications and treatment regimens while reviewing medical records for compliance. Supervise advanced practitioners, medical students, and residents on rotations, and direct nursing and support staff activities. Counsel patients on wellness, illness prevention, and health maintenance, and refer cases to specialists as needed. Adhere to safety, infection control, and PPE standards while participating in quality improvement, community outreach, and continuing education. Maintain current licensure, board certification, and DEA registration within a Federally Qualified Health Center serving over 40,000 neighbors.
Required Qualifications
- Internship and Residency completed in an accredited Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Program (M.D./D.O.)
- Arizona State Physician License, active and in good standing
- Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP; ABIM or AOBIM)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- DEA
- X waiver
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing
- Current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or must pass fingerprint clearance within 7 days following hire
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to prescribe Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
