Job Summary
Manage labor and delivery, postpartum care, obstetric emergencies, and gynecology consults as an attending physician or independent provider. Supervise resident physicians, CNMs, medical students, and learners while performing over 1,300 inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures annually. Work within a multidisciplinary team at a Level 1 trauma center serving a diverse population, with active involvement in resident and fellow education for the University of Colorado OB/GYN residency and fellowship programs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, medical staff policies, and patient safety efforts.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency training program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (cert required within 3 years) by American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Eligible for privileges at Denver Health Medical Center
- Must be able to work standard hours/shifts, as well as flexible hours before and after standard hours/shifts
- Must be able to work overtime or in excess of 40 hours in a work week
