Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive primary care for adult patients, including evaluations, treatment, management of acute and chronic conditions, and diagnostic ordering. Perform physical examinations, interpret clinical information to establish diagnoses, and formulate treatment plans while supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, and acute conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, efficient care. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and universal precautions. Work M-F from 8a-5p at Legacy Central Beaumont, reporting to the Medical Director.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD)
- current Texas state licensure
- BE/BC
- DEA
- Ability and agreement to obtain, maintain, and participate in Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers' compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and payment plans of commercial insurers, HMOs, PPOs, accountable health plans, and other health benefit programs as requested by Legacy
- Ability to meet Legacy Community Health's EPIC proficiency requirements
- Demonstrated competency with an electronic health record system (EHRS)
- knowledge of universal precautions and correct use of protective barrier equipment
- attendance and completion of annual required education programs
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and secure information management
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and make decisions with moderate to high complexity
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Above average organizational skills
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
