Job Summary
Physician (Family Medicine) responsible for providing direct patient care within a Medical Treatment Facility at Fort Riley, KS. Duties include rendering consultative opinions to other physicians and auxiliary staff, supervising non-physician healthcare workers, and maintaining health and clinical records in accordance with current regulations. Must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, be licensed/registered to practice in the United States, and have completed Family Medicine residency with at least the expected level of supervised clinical experience. Required Qualifications
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from US/Canada or equivalent
- Current, active, full, unrestricted medical license/registration in US
- Residency training in Family Medicine completed (4 years)
- Graduate medical training: internship or first year of residency in an accredited program
- Eligibility/board certification or permanent certification via recognized pathways (ECFMG/USMLE) as applicable
- Ability to provide direct patient care in a Medical Treatment Facility
- US citizenship or eligibility per government hiring rules
- Basic knowledge of regulatory and record-keeping requirements for clinical practice
- Experience in supervising non-physician healthcare staff
- Ability to render consultative opinions to other physicians and healthcare personnel
- Experience with maintaining clinical health records in compliance with regulations
- Participation in patient referrals and care coordination
