Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency, pituitary disorders, and osteoporosis in the outpatient practice setting. Monitor chronic conditions through follow-up visits, adjust treatment plans and medications as needed, and coordinate care or referrals for complex cases. Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications while collaborating with primary care providers and specialists such as surgeons, nephrologists, and dietitians for multidisciplinary care. Participate in the Osteoporosis Center of Excellence. This role is part of the Endocrinology & Diabetes Center at Southcoast Health, which includes four physicians and six advanced practice practitioners. The position requires board certification in Endocrinology and offers a competitive salary range of $260,000 to $380,000 annually with on-call rotation once every four weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification/eligibility in Endocrinology
- Fellowship trained in Endocrinology
- Current state medical license
- DEA registration
- Demonstrated clinical excellence
- Patient satisfaction
- Effective communication skills
- On Call for after office hours once every 4 weeks
