Job Summary
Provide longitudinal telehealth care for patients with obesity, focusing on evidence-based treatment and chronic weight management. Manage your own patient panel while collaborating with registered dietitians to deliver team-based care. Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications and ensure clinical documentation and treatment pathways are followed consistently. Offer treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases or escalated concerns. Participate in rotating after-hours call schedules and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program. This FTE, 40-hour remote role requires an MD or DO with ABOM or Endocrinology certification, licensed in NY, VA, or MA. Base salary ranges from $210,000 to $225,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification
- American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate
- Board certified in Endocrinology
- Licensed to practice and prescribe legally in NY, VA, or MA
- Credentialed with insurance payers
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
- Committed to the highest quality of medical care and an evidence-based approach to obesity management
- Prior experience conducting telemedicine visits
- Great 'web-side' manner
- Prior experience working collaboratively with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians
