Job Summary

Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management, managing your own panel and collaborating with Registered Dietitians. Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications and ensure clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are followed consistently. Participate in team-based care initiatives, attend departmental meetings, and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program. Assist in the professional development of Advanced Practice Professionals by fostering clinical growth and offering feedback. This is a modified full-time, remote telemedicine position with a flexible schedule and rotating after-hours call coverage, including reduced clinical time during call weeks. The role requires an MD or DO with ABOM diplomate status, licensed in CT, DE, ME, NH, NJ, PA, RI, or VT, with a strong preference for bilingual Spanish fluency.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certification
  • American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate
  • Board certified in Endocrinology
  • Licensed to practice and prescribe legally in CT, DE, ME, NH, NJ, PA, RI, or VT
  • LOQ (Letter of Qualification) with the IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
  • Experience conducting telemedicine visits
  • Great 'web-side' manner
  • Prior experience working collaboratively with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians
  • FTE (40 hours per week)
  • Rotating after hours call schedule
