Job Summary
Provide longitudinal telehealth care for patients with obesity, managing treatment plans and prescribing non-controlled medications. Collaborate with registered dietitians on direct patient care while ensuring clinical documentation and treatment pathways are followed. Participate in team-based initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and departmental meetings. Assist in the professional development of advanced practice professionals through feedback and supervision. Conduct chart reviews and return visits for APP patients every third visit to ensure continuity of care. Maintain a rotating after-hours call schedule with reduced clinical coverage during those weeks. This remote, modified full-time role requires an ABOM diplomate or endocrinology board certification and an LOQ.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification
- American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate
- Board certified in Endocrinology
- Licensed to practice and prescribe legally in AR, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, OK, SD, or WI
- LOQ (Letter of Qualification) with the IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
- Credentialed with insurance payers
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
- Committed to the highest quality of medical care and an evidence-based approach to obesity management
- Prior experience conducting telemedicine visits
- Great 'web-side' manner
- Prior experience working collaboratively with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians
