Job Summary
Manage patients with heart failure, many requiring mechanical circulatory support or orthotopic heart transplant, while floating Swan-Ganz Catheters, VA ECMO, and LVADs. Lead a collaborative multidisciplinary team in the expanding Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at the University of Arizona & Banner University Medical Group's Phoenix Campus. Provide education to medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in research. Board certification in Critical Care Medicine by ABA, ABIM, or ABS is required, with preferred experience in anesthesia and transplant care.
Required Qualifications
- BE/BC in Critical Care Medicine by ABA, ABIM, ABS
- Academic experience with the desire to educate medical students, residents and fellows
- desire to participate in research
- Experience managing patients s/p heart transplant is preferred
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices and VA ECMO
- Background in Anesthesia preferred
