Job Summary
Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care across adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, performing coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, complex aortic procedures, and lung surgery. Manage acute and chronic aortic syndromes, including aortic dissections, while collaborating closely with interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure, structural heart, cardiovascular imaging, and pulmonology teams. Maintain a 1:3 call schedule within an established regional referral center serving the East Bay and Northern California. Join a physician-owned and physician-led medical group with opportunities to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and program development.
Required Qualifications
- Current Board Certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
- Minimum five years of post-training experience
- Expertise in adult cardiac surgery, including coronary, valvular, and aortic procedures
- Expertise in thoracic surgery, including lung resection and general thoracic procedures
- Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team
- 1:3 call schedule
- Approximately 50% adult cardiac surgery and 50% thoracic surgery
