Physician Cardiothoracic Surgery

Physician Cardiothoracic Surgeon based in Danville for Geisinger Medical Center. The role supports the Cardiothoracic Surgical department across Danville, Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton with 24/7 coverage by cardiac anesthesia and ICU staff. Responsibilities include the full breadth of Adult Cardiothoracic surgery with standard and minimally invasive valvular operations and multiple arterial conduits for cardiac revascularization. The program includes growing Mechanical Circulatory Support and LVAD programs, an ECMO program performing V-V and V-A cannulations, and a multidisciplinary Structural Heart Program offering TAVR and MitraClip implantation. The successful candidate will be based in Danville and may assist with coverage at other sites. Broad Cardiothoracic training and experience are required, with an interest in minimally invasive, robotic, aortic, or mechanical circulatory support.
