Job Summary
Geisinger’s Heart & Vascular Institute seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgeon based in Danville with coverage across Danville, Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton. The role involves the full breadth of adult cardiothoracic surgery, including standard and minimally invasive valvular procedures, cardiac revascularization, and participation in expanding mechanical circulatory support programs (LVAD) and ECMO; involvement in a multidisciplinary Structural Heart Program (TAVR, Mitra Clip) and support from dedicated ICU and Cardiac Anesthesia teams. The successful candidate will hold an MD or DO and a PA medical license, with broad training in cardiothoracic surgery and interest in robotic and minimally invasive approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO)
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Broad Cardiothoracic training and experience
- Interest in minimally invasive, robotic, aortic or mechanical circulatory support (preferred)
