Job Summary
Physician Cardiothoracic Surgeon based in Danville with coverage across Geisinger’s Heart & Vascular Institute sites (Danville, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton) and potential regional duties. The role requires broad Cardiothoracic training, with an emphasis on minimally invasive, robotic, aortic, and mechanical circulatory support procedures. Facilities include 24/7 cardiac anesthesia and ICU staff, and programs in LVAD, ECMO, TAVR, and Mitra Clip across multiple sites. Must hold MD or DO, and be licensed in Pennsylvania. Opportunity to contribute to a large, integrated program within Geisinger with ongoing expansion in advanced cardiac surgery and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO)
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Broad Cardiothoracic training and experience
- Interest in minimally invasive, robotic, aortic or mechanical circulatory support
