Job Summary

Deliver comprehensive health care to a diverse Veteran population through inpatient rounds, outpatient evaluations, and the management of acute and chronic illnesses. Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order or conduct diagnostic tests to formulate differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans. Select pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions, develop patient education strategies, and initiate consultations as needed. Implement clinical guidelines, maintain systematic follow-up processes, and document care outcomes accurately. Serve on committees, teams, and workgroups while completing all mandated training. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm as a resource for the Eastern Kansas Health Care System-Leavenworth campus.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
  • Board certification (implied by CME reimbursement requirement for full-time status)
  • Full-time employment status
  • Ability to complete all training as mandated by VA
  • Ability to serve on committees, teams, workgroups, and chart reviews as requested/approved by administration
