Job Summary
Provide expertise in Non-Invasive Cardiology and patient care, including comprehensive cardiac services, echocardiography, stress echocardiograms, TEE and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations. Interpret treadmill tests, nuclear scans, Holter and EKG readings; perform stress test procedures and Holter monitoring; educate Veterans and families on preventive care and prescribed treatments. Establish professional working relationships within the medical center, outpatient clinics, and community-based clinics; participate in quality assurance, chart reviews, and regular medical staff meetings. Lead inpatient and outpatient cardiac care, support academic affiliations, contribute to residency and medical student teaching, and be willing to be on call with weekend/irregular hours. Research is not required but encouraged where feasible.
