Job Summary

Cardiologist role at Martinsburg VA Medical Center requires providing inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, including comprehensive non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography (including stress echocardiograms and TEE), diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, and interpretation of Holter and EKG readings. The physician will perform stress tests (nuclear, chemical, treadmill), educate Veterans and families on preventive care and treatments, collaborate with clinical services and outpatient clinics, participate in quality assurance and chart reviews, support academic affiliations, and teach residents and medical students. Must be willing to be on call and to work weekends and irregular hours. Research is encouraged but not required. VA offers total rewards and supports physician activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Cardiology board certification
  • Medical degree (MD/DO)
  • VA/VAMC or equivalent experience preferred
  • on-call availability
  • teaching residency/medical students
