PHYSICIAN ASST

Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations on assigned patients; assesses and treats acute/chronic medical problems and provides direct patient care within the scope of approved privileges. Orders and administers appropriate medical tests, develops individualized treatment plans, and coordinates care with physicians and support staff. Intervenes to diffuse situations involving agitated patients or family members, provides patient education, and ensures Joint Commission standards are met. Maintains a safe work environment, completes chart reviews, and abides by established policies and protocols.
