Obtain detailed histories and perform physical examinations on assigned patients while assessing and treating acute and chronic medical problems. Order and administer appropriate medical tests, deliver direct patient care within approved privileges, and provide patient and family education or counseling. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, coordinate treatment plans, and ensure clear verbal and written orders are understood. Monitor care quality, maintain a safe environment, complete chart reviews, and participate in disaster planning and committee responsibilities.
