Job Summary
Conduct clinical rotations in ambulatory care settings for patients 18 months and older, including acute and chronic care, women's health exams, DOT physicals, and sports physicals. Deliver practical education covering clinic operations, insurance procedures, and evidence-based guideline references while interacting with patients under preceptor supervision. Gain exposure to the current structure of health care delivery and understand how the corporate office supports clinical practice. Note that this is an unpaid student program with no benefits, requiring enrollment in an affiliated Physician Associate program and full COVID vaccination unless an accommodation applies. Schedule varies weekly due to compressed provider shifts and may change based on assigned preceptor location.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Physician Associate program that already has an executed Affiliation Agreement with MinuteClinic
- Eligible for a clinical rotation at MinuteClinic (verified with program faculty)
- PA student eligible for clinical rotations in the specific states where MinuteClinic currently hires PAs (CT, DC, GA, MD, MN, NC, NE, NV, RI, SC, TN, TX)
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons
