Job Summary
Orthopedic surgical APP (PA-C) with First Assist experience to join Tacoma General Hospital practice. Partner with an established Orthopedic Surgery service; assist in surgery and work in growing outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include preoperative care management, intraoperative first assist, postoperative care management, patient education, evaluation/diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions, maintaining accurate records, and on-call rotation. Perioperative responsibilities span wound management, arthrocentesis and joint injections, pain control, and rehabilitation oversight; perform bedside procedures, order/interpret imaging, and support evidence-based practice and enhanced recovery protocols. Shift: Day, 4x10 schedule; FTE: 1.0. Competitive compensation with potential sign-on and relocation; comprehensive benefits. WA-based licensing and certs required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
- DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
