Job Summary
Physician Assistant - Spine Surgery-based role in Winter Garden, FL with travel to Minneola, FL. Supports spine surgeon in evaluating and treating orthopaedic or postoperative patients, assists during office hours, satellite offices, and hospital rounds, and serves as first assistant during surgical cases when needed. Responsibilities include inpatient rounds, evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic patients, participation in educational activities for hospital staff, preoperative and postoperative instructions, patient communication, dictation and documentation of encounters, prescription handling, and coordination with Homecare Nurse and outside consulting physicians. Involves discharge planning, post-op follow-up calls, chart reviews, and on-call coverage with RI schedules. Requires successful completion of an accredited PA program, active Florida PA license, and active CPR certification. Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Active Florida Physician Assistant licensure
