Job Summary
Physician Assistant for Robotic-General Surgery at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Responsibilities include intraoperative bedside assistance during robotic procedures, rounding with surgical teams to evaluate and manage patients, writing progress notes and placing orders, performing bedside procedures as needed, and delivering coordinated, high-quality care across the patient journey to ensure continuity of care during hospital stays. Collaboration with surgeons across General Surgery, Colorectal, Bariatrics, Gynecology, and Urology, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-site presence within Brooklyn, NY. Requires NYS PA licensure, NCCPA certification, ACLS/BLS, DEA registration, and experience in robotic surgery using Intuitive Surgical systems (Xi, X, and/or dV5). The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current New York State PA licensure
- NCCPA certification
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- NYS Infection Control certification
- DEA registration with NYS Opioid Prescriber Training compliance
- Experience with Intuitive Surgical systems (Xi, X, and/or dV5)

- At least 1 year of experience in surgical inpatient medicine
