Job Summary

Conduct thorough histories and physical examinations to assess health status of patients with kidney disease. Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies. Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with medical advancements and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the United States
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
