Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluation and treatment of orthopedic injuries, serve as first surgical assistant for procedures, and manage hospital admissions and consultations. Perform inpatient rounds, order and interpret diagnostic studies including X-rays and MRIs, and provide therapeutic treatments such as injections and cast applications. Execute minor office and emergency procedures like fracture reduction and laceration repair while ensuring strict patient confidentiality and accurate documentation. Requires NCCPA certification and a Rhode Island license. Full-time Monday through Friday schedule with minimal call.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certified
- Valid Rhode Island license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of the position
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
