Job Summary
Conduct thorough medical evaluations and treat patients for occupational injuries, including assisting in minor surgical procedures like joint injections and wound debridement. Oversee certified medical staff to ensure efficient care while performing remote evaluations via telemedicine and supporting case management calls. Available for after-hour visits to address urgent needs and lead or assist with new clinic projects. Maintain compliance with state licensing agencies and Texas Medical Board investigations, holding active DEA and DPS certificates with full, unrestricted licenses in Louisiana and Texas. Requires strong communication skills, ability to work independently under pressure, and commitment to ongoing CMEs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Strong proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment
- Must be able to adapt to work in varied environments and learn detailed procedures
- Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions
- Commitment to maintaining all required CME's
- Can have no active investigations by the Texas Medical Board
- Requires an active DEA and DPS certificate with no restrictions on prescribing medications
- Holds a full and unrestricted license in Louisiana and Texas
- Regularly required to read, talk or hear
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle training equipment and tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
