Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join MH Podiatry team in Rockport and Belfast, Maine, supporting podiatrists in a blended clinical and surgical first-assist role. Responsibilities include first assisting podiatrists in the operating room for foot and ankle procedures, independently evaluating and managing podiatry patients, performing office-based podiatric procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, post-operative follow-ups), coordinating post-operative care, collaborating with clinicians to ensure patient outcomes, and participating in quality, safety, and operations initiatives. Offers a predictable schedule with a mix of clinic and surgical time and opportunities for professional growth within a collegial podiatry team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
