Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to support podiatry surgeons in Rockport and Belfast, Maine, through a blended clinical and surgical first-assist role. Care for a defined panel of podiatric patients and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum. Key duties include first-assisting in the OR for foot/ankle procedures and reconstruction, evaluating and managing routine to complex podiatry cases, performing office-based podiatric procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, post-operative follow-ups), supporting post-operative care and recovery, collaborating with podiatrists and the care team, and participating in quality, safety, and operational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed NP or PA in Maine
- Surgical first assist experience
- Podiatry/orthopedics experience preferred
