Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to support a podiatry team in Rockport/Belfast, Maine Health system. Role includes surgical first-assist in foot and ankle procedures, independent evaluation/diagnosis and management of podiatry patients, office-based procedures (wound care, injections, post-operative follow-ups), postoperative care coordination, and collaboration with podiatrists and care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Involves participation in quality, safety, and operational initiatives with a mix of clinic and surgical time; strong teamwork and patient-focused care are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
