Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join MH Podiatry in Rockport and Belfast, Maine, supporting podiatric surgeons in a blended clinical and surgical first-assist role. The APP will care for a defined panel of podiatry patients, perform OR first-assist for foot and ankle procedures, conduct office-based podiatric procedures, support post-operative care, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. Responsibilities include independent evaluation/diagnosis of podiatry patients, wound care and injections, post-operative recovery coordination, and participation in quality, safety, and operational initiatives while pursuing professional growth within a collegial podiatry team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Maine
- Experience or strong interest in surgical first assist and podiatric medicine
- Prior experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, or wound care preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to team-based care
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
