Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests including x-rays and lab results, and perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturing, and wound care. Manage patient care by developing management plans, applying orthopedic casts and splints, and dictating detailed medical records including discharge summaries and operative notes. Counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and maintain licensure documentation for state, DEA, and NCCPA certification. This 100% clinic-based role supports a Physiatrist at the OrthoCarolina Spine office in Charlotte, focusing on continuity of care and quality patient outcomes within a team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program
- Prior experience in the field of orthopedics
- Prior experience as a physician assistant
- North Carolina PA license
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
