Job Summary
Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient orthopedic care, including post-operative management and acute patient needs, while responding to and managing overnight consults from the Emergency Department. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, residents, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for perioperative patients, addressing clinical changes and coordinating care plans. Maintain clear handoff communication with day team providers to support a team-based model with shared accountability. Participate in maintaining high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced inpatient setting. This full-time night shift role consists of three consecutive 13-hour shifts per week, offering a condensed schedule with four days off.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification
- Maryland State License (or eligibility)
- DEA/CDS (or ability to obtain)
- Full-time night shift position
- 3 consecutive 13-hour shifts per week (e.g., Monday–Friday)
- Consistent weekly schedule offering 4 days off each week
- Night shift serve as in-house coverage
- Strong clinical judgment
- Communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
