Job Summary

Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient orthopedic care, including post-operative management and acute patient needs. Respond to and manage overnight orthopedic consults from the Emergency Department for adult and limited pediatric populations. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, residents, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care while maintaining clear handoff communication with day team providers. Manage perioperative patients overnight, addressing clinical changes and coordinating care plans within a team-based model. This full-time night shift role consists of three consecutive 13-hour shifts per week (e.g., Monday–Friday), with occasional night shifts and four days off each week. Candidates must be NCCPA certified with a Maryland State License and DEA/CDS.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Maryland State License (or eligibility)
  • DEA/CDS (or ability to obtain)
  • Full-time night shift position
  • 3 consecutive 13-hour shifts per week (e.g., Monday–Friday)
  • Consistent weekly schedule offering 4 days off each week
  • Night shift serve as in-house coverage
  • Strong clinical judgment
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
