Job Summary
Conduct participant assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories, as delegated by the Medical Director. Interact with regulatory bodies and serve as a technical advisor to clinical teams and other departments within Clinical Pharmacology. Maintain and develop facilities and processes to ensure good clinical practices, while overseeing quality systems and ensuring compliance with FDA/GCP/ICH regulations. Perform routine study activities, review new proposals for clinical feasibility, and assist with Sponsor visits. Act as an educational resource and instructor for staff, attending investigator meetings as appropriate. Work onsite in a laboratory or clinical environment with occasional site drives and domestic travel.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Successfully completed the National Certification Requirements for Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
- Currently certified to practice (PA-C)
- Three to five years hands on clinical care experience
- Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Occasional domestic travel
- Occasional drives to site locations
