Job Summary

Physician Assistant faculty at ECPI University are responsible for planning, developing, and evaluating the program's didactic curriculum while collaborating with colleagues to oversee curriculum implementation and compliance with accreditation standards. Faculty will provide academic instruction using innovative methodologies, participate in the recruitment and admission processes, evaluate course materials, and maintain student confidentiality according to FERPA. Qualified candidates must be NCCPA certified Physician Assistants or specialty board certified physicians with experience in teaching PA education. A minimum of two years of professional experience is also required.

Required Qualifications

  • NCCPA certified Physician Assistants (with Masters degree in PA)
  • physicians who are specialty board certified in their area of instruction
  • other licensed health care providers qualified in their area of instruction
  • Currently licensed allopathic or osteopathic physician if serving as physician
  • Certified by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board if serving as physician
  • Minimum of two years occupational experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise or teaching experience in pharmacology, physiology, and pathophysiology within a healthcare or academic setting
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction in foundational biomedical sciences
  • Experience integrating pharmacologic and physiologic principles into applied physician assistant coursework
