Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive care for subspecialty and orthopedic trauma/fracture patients across Boston, Waltham, Weymouth, Peabody, and Needham locations. Interpret diagnostic imaging, manage pre-op and post-op appointments, and coordinate care for acute and chronic conditions spanning infants to young adults. Work four 10-hour shifts per week with built-in administrative time while collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and advanced practice clinicians. This role offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring flexible schedules, health insurance, child care subsidies, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from a Physician Assistant program
- A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant
- Ability to work in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) and ambulatory staff
- Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge
- Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions
- well-developed writing skills
- Working four 10-hour shifts per week with built in administrative time
- Clinic coverage could be across all BCH locations including: Boston, Waltham, Weymouth, Peabody and Needham
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as an PA in pediatrics, orthopedics or other related area
- A strong desire to work in the pediatric orthopedic setting
